The ceramic jars in the Ikimetsä collection were designed by Matias Karsikas. The animal figures are inspired by our grandfather, who hand-carved animals from wood. Their design language continues this craft tradition in a new material.

Each jar is handmade in Finland through several stages, from moulding to finishing and glazing. The shape, surface, and tone vary subtly during the making process, which makes every piece unique.

Ikimetsä jars are sculptural everyday objects. They serve as storage pieces, while also becoming part of the interior and an expression of ceramic art.

Their natural tones and the lively surface of the ceramic give each jar its own distinct character.
